This beautiful executive pen set is manufactured from West Australian Jarrah, Eucalyptus Marginata, also known as Swan River Mahogany. The timber varies in colour from salmon pink through to chocolate brown. Because it's an organic material, each piece will be unique.
Both the box and the pens are laser engraved with the University of Queensland brand. The box contains one gold clip black ink ballpoint pen.
The warm earthy tones together with golden details make this set a perfect high-end gift. Smooth to the touch, and gorgeous to look at. You'll want this sitting on your desk both for the aesthetics and its practicality (trust us, we've tried it!)

Jarrah is a unique eucalypt, growing only in the South West corner of Australia. Historically, Jarrah’s hard-wearing nature saw massive quantities exported as railway sleepers and to cobble some of the great cities of Europe. In Australia, the timber has been extensively used in construction. One of the best examples is the Busselton jetty which has been in service for well over a century and extends 1837 metres into the Indian Ocean.
Jarrah timber is assuredly a sustainable natural resource. The harvest is strictly controlled by the government of Western Australia.

It's very handy. I used to wear my ID badge on a lanyard, which was nice, but used to swing around a bit too much when I was walking in a rush around campus. I also had to bend down to swipe at photocopiers and doors, but now I don't need to do that anymore. It looks nice and attaches securely to my belt, too. I don't feel as if it'll fall off anytime soon at all.
